Following weeks of debate over the impact of native vegetation laws on property owners rights to farm their land, a Senate Inquiry has been established to examine all aspects of the issue.

The Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams says the Senate Finance and Public Administration References Committee will inquire into the impact of native vegetation laws and legislated greenhouse gas abatement measures on landholders.

“The Nationals promised Australia’s hard working landholders that an Inquiry would be set up, and we have honoured that commitment.

It will give a voice to people who have fought against these draconian laws, and I urge all people who have been affected by these regulations to lodge a submission”, Senator Williams said.

The committee will report on the 30^th of April.
