The National Rural Advisory Council will inspect the Delungra drought district next month.

The Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams who co-ordinated the submission for Exceptional Circumstances said he has been advised by Industry and Investment that NRAC representatives could visit the area on the 5^th and 6^th of October.

He said this was great news and a local group will plan an itinerary for the two day visit.

Senator Williams said the Delungra EC submission covers close to 400 farms over 270,000 hectares.

He said while recent rain had improved conditions, it will be stressed to the NRAC members that

assistance is needed for a recovery period from the past few years of drought.
