The people of New South Wales are counting the days to the State election where they can despatch the most disgraceful State government in history to oblivion, according to the Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams. Speaking on a Matter of Public Interest, Senator Williams said 22 Labor Ministers, local members and upper house representatives will not be contesting the election on the 26th of March knowing the writing is on the wall. Senator Williams said it would be hard to write a novel and have more scandals than what the people of this State have had to put up with in recent years. “They’ve had sex scandals. They’ve had rorting. They’ve told lies. They’ve had infighting that took out two Premiers in quick succession. Many of their own people have disowned the Labor brand on their offices and material. The Auditor-General reports show a waste of $778 million on projects such as the abandoned CBD Metro project which cost NSW taxpayers $356 million, and a $188 million overspend on the Building the Education Revolution. Yet they claim they cannot fund more police, more hospitals, more nurses. The Keneally Government has the same disease as the Federal Labor-Greens alliance. It’s called waste. Hopefully the people of NSW will soon make Labor just a bad memory”, Senator Williams said. |
