WINDSOR AND OAKESHOTT SELL OUT THEIR PEOPLE

The residents of New England and Lyne will remember Wednesday the 12th of October, 2011.

They will remember it as the day their elected representatives Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott thumbed their noses at them and told them “we don’t care what you think, you’re getting another huge tax that will achieve nothing”.

The Nationals Senator for New South Wales John Williams said it is a sad day for democracy when the men entrusted with representation blatantly ignore the wishes of those they represent and vote for the carbon tax.

He said Mr. Windsor and Mr. Oakeshott are complicit in Prime Minister Gillard and Treasurer Wayne Swan breaking their pre-election promise to the Australian people.

Senator Williams recent survey found that 89% of respondents in New England and 87% of respondents in Lyne wanted their Independent members to vote against the carbon tax.

He said Mr.Windsor and Mr. Oakeshott have ridiculed the survey but have resisted calls to conduct their own survey because they knew exactly the reaction they would get.

“When Australian industries and jobs are under threat, when the cost of living increases, when the electricity bills skyrocket , blame Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott. They had the opportunity to stop the carbon tax.

Instead they will be remembered for propping up the most incompetent government in history.

At the next election, if either of them choose to stand, the people they have sold out today will have their say”, Senator Williams said.

I always thought it was sadly inevitable we would get this crazy, illogical carbon tax. Despite all the propaganda by Gillard, Combet, Garnault and the Greens, we will be paying FAR more than any other country, and the tax will of course, enable the current government to spend more upon buying votes. Always remember, this tax is designed to increase substantially as time passes. Initially, it will probably not cause much pain as Mr Windsor well knows.
What other major, CO2 producing country has a nation-wide, trillion dollar carbon tax? Certainly not China, the USA, India, Indonesia or Brazil. I heard Tony Windsor say on ABC radio, shortly after the last federal election, that he supported Labor because if he had supported the conservatives, "Tony Abbott would have called another election within a short time, which he then would have won". As well as a demonstrable contempt for his electorate's views,(almost 90% of us are against this tax) Mr Windsor has an all-consuming hatred for the conservatives, and will do whatever he can to prevent them gaining government. If those who voted for him had known how he would behave in the future, he would probably not be in power right now.
Gillard CLEARLY said to the Australian people :"No carbon tax under the government I lead". No amount of ducking and dodging or political spin can change this fact, Mr Windsor. So who is leading the government, Julia Gillard or Bob Brown ? I only hope that contrary to Mr Windsor's suggestion that "this tax wont be an issue in twelve months", -people will remember, and he will ultimately receive a well-deserved metaphorical, size ten steel-capped blundstone to his well padded nether regions, turfing him out of any future parliamentary seat. He is however, a very cunning operator, something like Qld's Bjelke Joh, and whoever replaces this devious man will have to work at it. He must be very thankful indeed that the disillusioned voters in his electorate cannot boot him out just now, and that he has a couple of years up his sleeve to persuade us it was "all for our own good" - It is easy to see why so many of us have such a low opinion of politicians!

Up till a few days ago I was able to email Tony Windsor direct at Parliment House. After the vote today, he has stopped his direct email to Parliment House. To me this shows the mark of a weak person, who cannot take criticsm. I had passed on my comments as to his vote, and also his friend Oakeshot. The photograph of himself with Rudd and Gillard in the Australian after the vote did him no favours. Also I sated Gillard, is the most hated Prime Minister Australia has ever had. I have been interstate and in the Northern Territory, over the last few months, and this hatred applys there.
For God's sake, and Australia,s sake, roll on an early elaction
