| Residents throughout New England are being given the chance to say what the region lacks in telecommunications.
The Nationals Duty Senator for New England John Williams says the Regional Telecommunications Independent Review Committee (RTIRC) is conducting a review into the adequacy of telecommunications, with emphasis on what consumers need to take advantage of the digital economy. Senator Williams said business people, schools, local government, health providers and the general community, particularly those in the more remote areas, need to outline what they would like in the future so they can keep pace with changing technology. “Telecommunications play an integral part in our lives, and at the same time can be very frustrating. If we have our say, we’re more likely to get the services we want. The deadline for submissions has been extended until the11th of December", Senator Williams said. Full details of the Review and how to make a submission can be found at the RTIRC website - http://www.rtirc.gov.au/
