FUNDING FOR HACC PROGRAMS

Seven organisations in the Richmond electorate will receive funding in the 2013 Commonwealth Home and Community Care round.

The program provides funding for older Australians to receive basic maintenance, support and care services in their own homes.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR 9-1-14

Dear Sir,

                 This is a challenge to the Labor Member for Richmond Justine Elliott to apologise for deliberately misleading the people of Richmond. On the 5th of December, 2013, Ms Elliott asked the Prime Minister Tony Abbott in Question Time -

“Given that the Prime Minister said ‘There will be no change to the GST, full stop, end of story’, why is the government now considering applying the GST to relocatable home parks – the complete opposite of what the Prime Minister promised?”

GRANT FOR SERVICE ORGANISATION

KingscliffThe Kingscliff RSL Sub-branch of the Returned and Services League will receive funding under the Veteran and Community Grants program.

The sub-branch will receive $5,250 to undertake a series of bus trips to reduce social isolation.

The Nationals Duty Senator for Richmond John Williams says the funding has been provided in Round 2 of the 2013-14 program.

He said Veteran and Community Grants have helped ex-service organisations continue to provide high quality services and support to the veteran and defence community and their families, as well as assisting in attracting the next generation of members.

GRANTS FOR SERVICE ORGANISATIONS

463980 425680570780702 2050084305 o1Two service organisations in Maitland have received funding under the Veteran and Community Grants program.

The Nationals Duty Senator for Hunter John Williams has announced that Maitland Sub-branch of the Returned and Services League

will receive $6,574 to upgrade photocopier equipment, and the Maitland branch of the National Services and Combined Forces Association of Australia will receive $3,476 for the purchase of computer equipment and a digital camera.

I note that the Member for Richmond Justine Elliott has accused me of lying about funding for the Knox Park Youth Precinct.

Ms. Elliott may well have announced funding in May this year as she claims, however the big question her constituents should ask was how she was going to deliver it?
